Hey LiliBeaners! Can you believe it’s June already? June!! Half way through another year. It feels like just yesterday when we were all looking ahead to the new year with hopeful hearts and big intentions. *le sigh* January always feels so fresh and bright.
I don’t know about you guys but I’d say my motivation is lagging right now. For all my “doing” this year, I don’t feel any closer to where I want to be. How can that be though? I know what it takes to turn things around and manifest the life of my dreams, right? Think positive – be grateful – visualize, visualize, visualize! I do all those things. Maybe not all the time or all at the same time but…now and again…here and there… Hmmm.
Maybe manifesting is like anything else in life – only works if you commit to doing it 100% and doing it consistently.
Well, there’s only one way to find out. Let’s conduct an experiment! C’mon…it’ll be fun!
Let’s take what we know about manifesting, put it all together with intention, do it every day and see what happens. I say “we” because I’m counting on you guys to do this with me. Who’s in?!!
All of you? Great! 🙂
So, here’s what we’ll do:
1) Set a clear intention and write it down.
2) Focus positive energy into this intention daily.
3) Be grateful everyday.
4) Avoid focusing negative energy into this intention.
5) Let it happen.
I think it’s just as easy as that but let’s find out for sure. How long should this experiment last? I’ve heard it takes anywhere from 3 weeks to 9 weeks to form a new habit so let’s split the difference. 6 weeks. That’s our magic number.
Now, I’ve talked about all the steps above in my previous posts but I’ll share some new tips and ideas for each of them over the next week.
Let’s start with #1 today. Set a clear intention and write it down.
This is the most important part of the experiment. If we don’t place the right order with Universe, how can we be sure we’ll get what we want? That would be like going into a restaurant and telling the waitress “I’m hungry. Bring me something to eat.” You might end up with a lima bean burger when you really wanted cherry pie. Best to just order the cherry pie right from the get-go.
And don’t worry about the hows and whens. Just focus on your desired outcome. Imagine how you will feel when your intention manifests. Now put that in writing. Don’t skip this step. Writing it down puts power behind it. And more power is more better.
So, I’ll go first. Here’s my intention:
To wake up every day – even Monday – and feel energized by and excited about the day in front of me, knowing that I’m doing something I love, when I want and how I want.
That’s it. And now I just need to spend the next 6 weeks focusing on this idea. Easy peasy!
